Turkey Update
Yesterday I was taking the T home and when the T crossed Glen Ave. in Newton Centre, I looked up, and was rewarded with a sighting of a group of about 10 wild turkeys in someones front yard. I wonder if this rafter of turkeys live in the Webster Conservation Area? While I have no pictures to share, any time I can "bird" from the train, its been a good ride.

Did you ever figure out where these turkeys live? There is a commercial building at 36-50 Glen Ave with a parking lot and I was able to snap a picture of about 23 turkeys standing around in the parking lot. When I was driving down Glen Ave recently we were almost attacked by a turkey protecting its rafter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. I haven't seen them in the area again, so I never did find out about this rafter, though I have found a couple of Turkey roosts around Newton, and heard of many more. It is always sad to hear when turkeys are being aggressive towards people, they are pretty big birds.
